The story behind the creation of Something Leisure Community
The idea for Something Leisure Community was born out of a shared passion for live entertainment. The founders, who themselves met through a mutual interest of event organising, saw the potential for a platform that could connect people in a more meaningful way and raise the bar on outdoor live entertainment at a local community level. From humbled beginnings of learning and creating many small events over the past fifteen years we are now today planning and delivering events for many hundreds and many thousands of people.
The vision and mission of the founders
Myself, David Cooksey and Andrew Naylor are driven by a vision of creating events for all the family to enjoy together and also as a community where you can learn something new, discover and build meaningful connections with others. Our business mission is to build a supportive and inclusive community that celebrates achievement and encourages personal growth through Volunteering, Education, Health & Wellbeing and Fun Events.
We believe that by empowering the community to achieve greatness, together we can make dreams come true when we all come together to make them happen.
